“Very few consumer wearables can really get to grips with our most vital organ: our brain.”
Becky Scarrott, TechRadar

“The headphones did sometimes give me a nudge when I checked my phone or got distracted.”
Gwendolyn Rak, IEEE Spectrum

“…more than enough to get you, and your brain, through a full working day.”
Daniel Cooper, Engadget, on battery life

Some hours are better than others. You don't know which ones. Neurable One shows the hour you're sharpest and when your focus slips. Then you can plan your day around it.

Your ring or watch covers everything below the neck. Neurable One adds the brain. Note a short night or a second coffee. Then see what it cost you the next morning.

You have numbers for your heart, your sleep and your bloodwork. Your brain has had none. You feel stress but can't see it. Neurable One shows the stress pattern in your brain signal. When you meditate, you see when you've settled in.
Sit still for 1 minute each time you put them on. That sets your starting point. Each metric is then compared with your last check-in.
Start a session and your focus shows up as it happens. When it drifts, the app nudges you through your audio. If you pull it back, the graph marks that stretch as Boosted. Break suggestions follow your brain, not a timer. Whether you take the break is up to you.
Every check-in and session saves to your record on its own. You can open any of them again. Weekly and monthly reports show the long view.
Every number is measured against you, not against an average. Brain Battery, Brain Age and Speed sit on the home screen. Focus is the number you watch while you work.
How much you have left for the rest of the day. Brain Battery sits at the center of the app and updates through the day. Check it against how you feel by mid-afternoon. A short night or a heavy morning of meetings shows up here.
An estimate of how old your brain seems, based on your own readings. It settles slowly. It needs weeks of check-ins before the number means much.
How fast your brain is processing information today. It updates with each daily check-in.
How steadily your attention is holding on the task in front of you. When it drops, the app nudges you and your audio can shift.
See the other 4 metrics
The frequency of your strongest brain rhythm while you rest with your eyes closed. The app measures it during your check-in. Think of it as heart rate variability (HRV), but for your brain. Like Brain Age, it moves over weeks, not days.
How hard your brain is working to keep up with what you're doing. 2 people can be equally focused, but one may be working much harder. Load shows that difference.
How much tension shows up in your brain activity. It's a pattern in the signal, so it won't always match how you feel.
How much your brain is drifting toward sleep. Sleepiness moves fast. That makes it one of the easiest numbers to check against how you feel.
Focus sessions are where you start. Meditation and Nap sessions, extra playlists and most games open up as you use them.
Meditation sessions follow your brain signal live. You see when you're in the zone, instead of guessing.
Choose guided or unguided, and how long you have. Nap sessions track your brain signal the same way focus sessions do.
The Train tab groups its games by what they ask of you, like attention or task switching. More arrive the longer you use them.
You can wear them all day with the app closed. So they have to be good headphones before anything else.
40 mm beryllium drivers and active noise cancelling. Ambient listening for when someone talks to you. 6 microphones for calls.
Pair your computer and your phone at the same time. A focus session keeps recording through calls, videos and your own music.
22 hours of audio, or 12 with EEG running. 15 minutes of charging gives you 2 hours.

Vegan leather headband and anodized aluminum.

Noise control, volume and playback buttons on the ear cups.

In the box: a carry pouch, a USB-C cable and a 3.5 mm audio cable.

12 EEG sensors are woven into the ear pads, 6 per side. A motion sensor tracks how you move. A proximity sensor knows when you're wearing them.
EEG has read the brain's electrical signals for about 100 years. It usually needs a gel cap, a trained operator and a quiet room. Putting it in headphones you'd wear anyway is the part that took over 10 years.
The hard part is the signal. Talking, chewing, walking, music and noise cancelling all show up in the same recording as your brain activity. Our software pulls the brain signal back out. That's the part our patents cover.
Our technology has been validated by the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force.

Our earlier headphones were made with partners. Neurable One is the first pair we've designed, built and shipped ourselves.
That gives us control over the whole product. We tune the sensors, so the readings get better. We own the device, so we can keep improving the software inside it. And our development cycles are faster, so new features reach you sooner.
Dr. Ramses Alcaide and Adam Molnar co-founded Neurable at the University of Michigan. Today our scientists and engineers work out of Boston.

Home. Brain Battery, Brain Age and Speed.
Brain Age over 7, 30 and 90 days.
The fit check. If the signal isn't clean, the app won't give you a number.
Raw recordings are processed and stored on Neurable's servers. Your history is saved on your phone and backed up to your Neurable account. Sign in again and it comes back, even after a reinstall. You can delete your account and all your data from the app at any time.
EEG reads electrical activity at the surface of the skin. Not thoughts, not words, not images, not mood.
“This doesn't read your brain; it reads the electrical activities and shifts that happen in your brain.”
Dr. Ramses Alcaide, Neurable CEO, speaking to TechRadar
Neurable One doesn't diagnose, treat or monitor any condition. It's a consumer wellness product. If you have a health concern, talk to a doctor.
Focus measures how narrowly your attention is pointed, not what it's pointed at. Scrolling a video feed can register as high focus. What deserves your attention is still your call.
We show how today's numbers compare with your earlier ones. You decide what they mean.

Reading EEG in headphones is harder than in a lab, because you move, talk and play music. Our software separates brain activity from that noise, and our patents cover how.
A dash means the signal wasn't clean enough to report. That's on purpose. A dash is not a zero. Settle the ear pads and check in again.
No. They work as noise-cancelling headphones on their own. The app adds the brain data.
No. EEG pauses while the headphones charge, and below 20% battery. Charge before a session, not during one.
Sleepiness and Brain Battery move day to day. You can check those against how you feel right away. Brain Age and Alpha Peak Frequency settle over weeks and months of check-ins.
Yes. The app is on iOS and Android.
Heart rate used to be measured at the doctor's office. Now it's on millions of wrists. Brain data is next.
