Translating brain signals into practical insights

Neurable’s software uses machine learning to measure and classify EEG signals in real time. By combining our proprietary algorithms with deep neuroscience knowledge, Neurable achieves levels of performance that far exceed the current state-of-the-art for detecting brain activity.

Our NeuroInsight APIs deliver raw data and cognitive insights, which can be used to build apps to make work environments safer, conduct objective user research, and tailor experiences to a user’s brain state. We also offer front-end tools to plot brain insights in easy-to-use interfaces, so anyone - not just a neuroscientist - can collect and interpret data.

Our NeuroSelect SDK enables natural and intuitive user interactions in VR/AR/XR environments by translating control signals from the brain into human intent.

Hardware

Non-invasive, easy-to-use hardware

Neurable’s devices are non-invasive, quick to set up, and easy to use. Our DK1 is a VR-compatible brain-sensing device with 6 dry EEG sensors. It has >90% correlation with wet EEG systems and includes continuous impedance and signal quality monitoring.

Our software is also compatible with any Wearable Sensing device (or any EEG system that streams data using LSL). 

Our software tools enable easy integration with Unity, C++, and C# environments. We also offer data export capabilities and a web portal for 3D data visualization and post-session analysis.

The Science

Neurable detects electrical brain signals using non-invasive electroencephalography (EEG) techniques, and provides software tools to interpret those signals for use in a variety of applications. 

Each time one of the 100 billion neurons in your brain activates, it generates an electrical signal. EEG sensors detect these signals and collect them for analysis.

Neurable uses wearable dry-EEG devices that do not require gel (or invasive surgical procedures to implant sensors directly in the brain!). Instead, our dry-EEG devices can be setup in a few minutes and provide research-quality EEG signals.

When classified using Neurable's signal processing and machine learning, Brain signals can be used for a variety of control methods from active control to passive affective computing.

Neurable uses Event-Related Potentials for active control. When exposed to a stimulus, the brain's response is predictable. Visual stimulus create P300 signals in the occipital lobe. In Neurable's telekinetic Awakening game, focusing on a flashing object allows you to select it, pick it up, and throw it, using only your mind.

Brain signals are difficult to interpret. Our research team uses signal processing and machine learning techniques to identify which neural features correlate with stress, calm, performance, and other cognitive states, and then turn them into actionable insights.
