Engineering Manager

Your main responsibilities will include managing and working alongside our R&D/Machine Learning Team, our Product Team, and stand as the go-between for our Business Development Team.

- 7+ years of industry experience with at least some experience as team lead or architect

- Strong programming skills in at least one object-oriented language (e.g.,, Python, C/C++)

- Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts

- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment

- Technology driven background and experience leading/developing Data Science and Engineering teams

- A strong background in data structures, algorithms, and analysis of algorithm complexity

- Experience driving product quality

- Deliver services with a continuous integration, validation and deployment methodology

- Demonstrated customer focus, compulsion towards action, and delivering results quickly while not sacrificing quality

- Background or familiarity with subject matter e.g. neuroscience, machine learning, human-computer interaction, virtual and augmented reality (preferred) 

- Experience with startups (preferred)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- Expand upon our existing platform and help scale it technologically and operationally

- Lead, motivate, and inspire multiple high-performance teams

- Recruit, retain, and develop great engineers who form strong teams capable of learning and growth; we encourage a culture that promotes from within

- Provide technology leadership to business leaders on engineering-related issues

- Work with other team members to investigate best design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility

- Demonstrate best development practices

- Work with our business, production and creative experience teams; you will help us scale our team and company

- Enable and foster a culture of disciplined decision making 

- Support the platform roadmap and ensure its implementation throughout the development life cycle 

- Collaborate with product teams to understand and translate requirements, ensuring specifications and architecture design meet broader technical strategic goals
